While the primary agenda was Johnson’s upcoming film Black Adam and the possible return of Henry Cavill as Superman, Johnson also saw this as an opportunity to push for power. However, his efforts were unsuccessful and it has been reported that Cavill even parted ways with Garcia as his manager after the meeting.
Johnson may have thought he had a case for taking over the DCEU, as he presented numbers that showed Black Adam had made a “small profit.” However, these figures were later found to be inflated and his attempts to bolster his position were unsuccessful.
