After years of anticipation and requests from adult customers, McDonald’s has announced the return of its popular Happy Meals for adults. The fast food giant is bringing back the iconic red-and-yellow box, complete with collectible toys that cater to patrons’ nostalgia and sense of childlike joy.
Last year, McDonald’s teamed up with Cactus Plant Flea Market for an adult Happy Meal collaboration that had fans lining up for the limited edition merchandise. This year, the Golden Arches are partnering with DJ, entertainer, and creative director Kerwin Frost for a special version of the adult Happy Meal.

Frost, who grew up in Harlem, has designed a set of six McNugget Buddies to be included in the Kerwin Frost Box. These characters, inspired by Frost’s childhood, are called Kerwin Frost, Don Bernice, Uptown Moe, Darla, BRRICK, and Waffutu. Each represents a different aspect of self-expression and serves as a reminder for people to embrace their creativity and be themselves.
In a statement, McDonald’s Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer Tariq Hassan said, “Fans told us they wanted to celebrate that quintessential childhood experience again.” The company listened and is now welcoming back fans of all ages to enjoy the Happy Meal once more.
Frost, who was a fan of McDonald’s since childhood, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, saying, “It’s unreal, a dream come true.” He also hopes that his Kerwin Frost Box will inspire people to be creative and not be afraid to show the world who they really are.
The adult Happy Meals will be available starting December 11 at participating McDonald’s locations. Each Kerwin Frost Box includes a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac, accompanied by fries, a fountain drink, and one of the six collectible toys. Part of the proceeds from the accompanying merchandise will go towards the New York-based non-profit organization Harlem Arts Alliance.
