‘Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Calls Divide With Wife Janelle a ‘Civil War’

“Sister Wives” Polygamist Kody Brown has another wife leave him as he says his relationship with Janelle Brown and their children together has been a “civil war.”

As reported by ET online,

“Janelle Brown doesn’t appear to be looking back now that the news of her separation from husband Kody Brown has gone public. Following Sunday’s explosive season finale of Sister Wives, the spouses of nearly 30 years announced that they are officially separated in the trailer for the upcoming One-on-One special.”

Kody still remains in a ‘marriage’ with Meri Brown and Robyn Brown, though his relationship with Meri has become nonphysical.

Kody’s issues with Janelle and his former wife Christine, have persisted on the show. In the show’s latest episode, Kody and Janelle contemplated whether or not their relationship still worked. Kody went on to say that he felt he was “begging” Janelle to have a deeper relationship with him.

Janelle, 53, said on the latest episode, “To be honest with you I really don’t know if I want to do the work. It feels like I’m being forced to choose between my children and this group. I don’t feel like my children are welcome.”

Janelle later said in an interview, “I never thought that I would ever be in a place where I would be questioning my relationship, but the last few years, I began to wonder if we’re compatible anymore. Maybe this doesn’t work anymore for me. I don’t know.”

In the episode, Kody and Janelle got into a heated argument and she went on to say, “This is the same ol’ argument. I don’t need to be beaten into submission, made to kowtow. I’m just not. I just don’t need this,” she said. “In the last 18 months, I’ve realized that I’m pretty good. I’m independent, and I’m not going to stand here and be yelled at. I just don’t need it. I don’t deserve it. I don’t need it.”

She went on to say, “I just think we’ve never had divides this deep. Christine has left, and that’s obviously [a] very, very big departure for what our family has looked like for many years. This is like the ultimate test of our family. Can we hold it together with all of this?”
