One Americans Most Well Known Reality TV Couples Sentenced To 19 Years In Prison

The USA Network show ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ ironically has the Chrisley family sentenced to 19 years total of prison time for fraud and tax evasion.

Multimillionaire real estate developer and entrepreneur Todd Chrisley, his wife Julie, and their family star in a reality tv series featuring the charming Southern family who seems to have everything money can buy.

However, aside from their over-the-top lifestyle and reality tv drama, real-life drama has occurred that will leave their children without them for the next several years as they face prison time.

Todd Chrisley has been sentenced to 12 years behind bars with 16 months probation while his wife, Julie was sentenced to seven years in prison with 16 months probation.

The couple was found guilty of conspiracy to defraud banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans, as well as several tax crimes, including attempting to defraud the Internal Revenue Service.

Prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memorandum on Nov. 16, “The Chrisleys have built an empire based on the lie that their wealth came from dedication and hard work. The jury’s unanimous verdict sets the record straight: Todd and Julie Chrisley are career swindlers who have made a living by jumping from one fraud scheme to another, lying to banks, stiffing vendors, and evading taxes at every corner.”

No recent comments have come from the family, however, Todd Chrisley said in a recent episode of their podcast Chrisley Confessions, “I know all of you guys are wanting to know every detail that is going on in our lives, and I have to ask that you respect that we’re not allowed to talk about it at the present time. There will come a time to where all of it is discussed.”
