2022 was a year full of surprises and changes for Jennifer Lopez. From getting engaged to her now-husband Ben Affleck, two weddings, a multi-week honeymoon, releasing a documentary, the release of new movies, and finally, moving in together with her family — it’s a wonder how she managed to keep it all straight.
The singer and actress married Affleck in July 2022 in Las Vegas before doing having a more formal wedding in August with family and friends. They held their lavish three-day celebration on Affleck’s Georgia estate.
Speaking of her new family, Lopez was recently on the Today show to promote her upcoming project, Shotgun Wedding, with Josh Duhamel and opened up about the transition of her 14-year-old twins Emme and Max, who she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck’s three children, Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 10, who he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, all living under one roof.
Lopez continued to say, “We moved in together. The kids moved in together. It’s been, like, a really kind of emotional transition, but at the same time, all your dreams coming true.”
She said, “It’s just been a phenomenal year. Like, my best year, I think, since my kids were born.”
In the Today interview, Josh Duhamel jokingly said, “I love Ben too, though. I’ve probably loved him longer than you have.”
“I bet you have,” she laughingly replied. “He’s dreamy. I get it.”
Lopez also revealed that her relationship with her kids remains her most proud accomplishment.
She also stated that she loves the fact that her kids can enjoy some of her movies now, saying, “They watched Made in Manhattan and The Wedding Planner, funnily enough. They haven’t gotten into the Out of Sights — they saw Selena. It was kind of sweet because I don’t think they realize she passed away, so at the end of the movie, they were like, ‘No!’”
