Brave 12 Years Deals With HUGE Snake To Rescue Pet

A 12-year-old girl in Australia showed incredible bravery and quick thinking when she fought off a snake that tried to eat her pet guinea pig. The incident, which was captured on video and shared on social media, has since gone viral, gaining over 8,800 views.

The girl, named Rosie, was playing in her backyard when she noticed that her guinea pig, MaxiBon, was missing. In a panic, she searched the area and soon found her beloved pet in the jaws of a giant snake. Without hesitation, she grabbed hold of the snake’s tail and began to whirl it in a circle in an attempt to get the snake to drop her pet.

Rosie’s actions were captured on camera by her uncle, Australian radio host Kip Wightman, who shared the video on social media. In the video, Rosie can be seen bravely fighting off the snake, determined to save her pet. The footage has received a lot of attention online, with many praising Rosie’s courageous act.

According to Rosie’s father, Luke Wightman, he was alerted to the situation after hearing his daughter “screaming at the top of her lungs.” He rushed outside to find her holding the snake “like a hammer thrower.” Together, they managed to free MaxiBon and throw the snake over their garden wall.

The snake, a 2.5-meter python, slithered away unharmed, leaving Rosie and her family relieved and grateful that their pet was safe. Luke Wightman told media outlet Storyful, “Rosie is doing amazing” and “she was just super relieved that MaxiBon survived.” MaxiBon himself was also unharmed by the incident and was seen “chilling” with his brother Yochi after the ordeal.

Rosie’s father also spoke about how proud he was of his daughter’s brave actions. He said, “Rosie is a hero in our eyes. We are just so proud that she had the guts to pick up a snake and save her pet’s life.” His swift and heroic response shows that she was not only brave but also acted on pure instinct.

In an interview with 7News Australia, Rosie herself talked about her actions, saying that she didn’t even think before she acted. “I was just like, ‘grab the snake, grab the snake.'” This shows just how quick-thinking and courageous she was in the face of danger.

The exact species of the snake involved in the incident is unknown, but it is evident that it was a large reptile, capable of causing serious harm. Luke Wightman also mentioned that the snake was not harmed during the incident and was seen slithering away “unhurt, although a little dizzy.”

The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that wildlife can pose, especially in areas where humans and animals live in close proximity. It also highlights the importance of teaching children how to handle dangerous situations and the importance of respect for all living creatures.
