Tom Brady is a household name, and it looks like he’s graduating from the football field to the big screen.
Brady recently attended the premiere of the movie 80 for Brady, which he executive produced, and he also appears as himself in the film. The movie is based on a true story of 80-year-old fans of Brady and includes an all-star cast with Hollywood royalty.
This is Brady’s first foray into the world of acting and film production, and it’s no surprise that he’s starting off with a bang. The movie stars Hollywood A-listers like Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, Sally Field, Harry Hamlin, and more. It’s based on the true story of a group of friends and widows over 80 who all bonded over their love for Tom Brady.
The movie also includes Brady’s former teammates from the New England Patriots, like Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola. Brady’s appearance at the premiere came just hours after it was reported that his ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen, would break her silence over their split in a new Vanity Fair interview.
The former couple tied the knot in 2009 after starting dating in 2006 and share two children, 13-year-old Benjamin, and 10-year-old Vivian. Brady recently announced his retirement, saying, “I’m retiring – for good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time. So, when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first. So, I won’t be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year,” Brady said in his announcement video.

“Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life,” Bündchen wrote in a comment on Brady’s Instagram post.
This isn’t the first time that Brady has taken on a Hollywood project. Last year, he was a producer for the documentary series Tom vs. Time. He also recently launched his own production company, 199 Productions, so it looks like he’s serious about his film career.
Brady is an iconic figure, and it’s clear that he’s not done making headlines.
