Olive Garden Brining Back Popular Menu Item

Olive Garden fans, rejoice! Two of the restaurant’s most beloved dishes, “Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo” and “Stuffed Chicken Marsala”, are officially back on the menu after years of hiatus. These fan favorites, long mourned by devoted diners, disappeared during the pandemic when Olive Garden streamlined its offerings—but now they’re making a triumphant return nationwide.

The news is a direct answer to customers who have spent years petitioning for their comeback. One particularly passionate plea on a public petition summed up the sentiment perfectly: ““When they told me they were no longer serving the Steak Gorgonzola, my heart shattered!”” Clearly, the bond between diners and their favorite dishes runs deep.

These iconic dishes aren’t just back—they’ve been upgraded with “higher-quality ingredients”, according to Rick Cardenas, CEO of Olive Garden’s parent company, Darden.

– “Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo”: This hearty dish features six ounces of tender grilled sirloin steak tips atop creamy fettuccine Alfredo, enhanced by blue cheese crumbles, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and a balsamic drizzle.
– “Stuffed Chicken Marsala”: A grilled chicken breast stuffed with Italian cheeses and sun-dried tomatoes, served with creamy marsala sauce and mashed potatoes.

As always, the meals come with Olive Garden’s famous “endless breadsticks” and “unlimited soup or salad”—a combo as comforting as it is iconic.

Reviving these dishes is part of Olive Garden’s effort to reconnect with customers amid disappointing sales. Earlier this year, the brand made headlines for agreeing to partner with delivery giants Uber Eats and DoorDash after years of resistance. By May 2025, all 900 locations will offer delivery, marking a significant shift in strategy.

However, not all recent moves have been crowd-pleasers. Olive Garden raised menu prices earlier this year by 2.5–3%, a decision that drew criticism from inflation-weary customers.

Unlike competitors like Chili’s and Applebee’s, Olive Garden has avoided running budget-friendly promotions, focusing instead on elevating their menu’s quality and sticking to their full-service dining ethos.

For fans, the return of Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo and Stuffed Chicken Marsala is more than a menu update—it’s the revival of a culinary connection.

Whether these dishes bring back memories of celebratory dinners or comforting nights out, they’re now poised to delight both nostalgic regulars and curious newcomers. So grab your fork and head to Olive Garden—the classics await!
