Celebrity Wheel of Fortune fans were left stunned during Monday night’s episode when actress Krysten Ritter failed to correctly solve a puzzle about two of America’s most famous brothers.
The puzzle, which was in the ‘family’ category, had the letters ‘TRAVIS & JASON KELCE’ on the board, and all Ritter needed to do was correctly pronounce their last name. However, she struggled to even know who the brothers were, and ultimately had to rely on her fellow contestants to fill her in.
Ritter, who was playing for charity, competed against Schitt’s Creek actress Sarah Levy and fashion designer Christian Siriano on the popular game show. Despite her slip-up on the puzzle, Ritter went on to win an impressive $48,250 for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Fans took to social media to express their shock and amusement at Ritter’s lack of knowledge, with many questioning what rock she has been living under.
The game show’s host, Pat Sajak, was also left confused as Ritter only needed the letters ‘K’ and ‘C’ to complete the puzzle but still struggled to figure out the answer.
When she finally gave the letter ‘K’ as her choice, the puzzle spelled out ‘TRAVIS & JASON KELCE’ – two names that are well-known to football fans all over the country. However, Ritter was still clueless about who they were, and even mispronounced their last name.
Ritter’s fellow contestants, Levy and Siriano, also had no idea who the Kelce brothers were, with Siriano even hilariously admitting that he makes clothes for a living, not follow sports. Despite some viewers roasting the celebrities for their lack of knowledge, others commended Ritter for not knowing the brothers, with one Twitter user joking that she should be celebrated for it.
The Kelce brothers, Travis and Jason, are famous NFL stars who have gained immense popularity over the past year. Jason recently announced his retirement from the Philadelphia Eagles after a 13-year career in the NFL.
