Taylor Swift Fans Face Backlash Over Reviews Controversy

Well, if there’s one thing the NFL does better than football, it’s “drama”. And this time, it wasn’t just the game making headlines—Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, and an ill-timed Instagram post from Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson turned post-Super Bowl buzz into a full-blown social media war.

It all started when Gardner-Johnson, fresh off the Eagles’ dominant win over the Chiefs, decided to stir the pot. He posted a photo of himself taunting Kelce on the field, pairing it with the song “Murder Business” by YoungBoy Never Broke Again and a caption that read, ““Should’ve stayed with that thick s****.”” While he didn’t name names, many fans took it as a direct shot at Swift and a nod to Kelce’s ex, Kayla Nicole.

If Gardner-Johnson was looking to get a reaction, mission accomplished. The post went viral almost instantly, with fans calling it everything from “hilarious trash talk” to “completely classless”.

And it’s not like this kind of behavior is out of character for him—he’s built a reputation as one of the league’s biggest “agitators”. Just last October, he was voted the NFL’s ““most annoying player”” in an anonymous player poll.

But while some fans were entertained, others felt Gardner-Johnson crossed a line. “Why is he worried about this after winning the Super Bowl?” one person asked. Another bluntly put it: ““What a weirdo.””

However, the real chaos started “after” the post was deleted. Instead of going after Gardner-Johnson directly, a group of angry “Swifties” and “Chiefs fans” took their revenge in a different way—by “review-bombing his mother’s restaurant”, King’s Grill, in Rockledge, Florida.

Within hours, the restaurant’s Google page was flooded with one-star reviews, many of them attacking the food and service—none of which had “anything” to do with the actual quality of the place. The fake reviews were quickly removed, but not before screenshots started making the rounds online.

Once Eagles fans caught wind of the situation, they responded in kind—rushing to the restaurant’s Facebook page to leave “positive” reviews in an effort to counteract the backlash. Because if there’s one thing sports fans “love”, it’s a good online feud.

Meanwhile, as the internet erupted in chaos, both Taylor Swift and Kayla Nicole were at the Super Bowl in “very” different roles. Swift, of course, was in the stands cheering for Kelce, while Nicole was down on the field celebrating with the “Eagles”. She even posted photos holding green and white confetti, fully embracing the moment.

Coincidence? Maybe. But in a night full of “shade, petty social media wars, and unexpected alliances”, it just added one more layer to the ongoing soap opera that is the NFL.
