Tacoma PD Called For Barn Yard Animal On The Loose

Tacoma, Washington, witnessed an unexpected bout of barnyard chaos when a rogue pig, cheekily nicknamed “Notorious P.I.G,” led police on a wild chase through residential streets.

The hilarious pursuit, captured on police body-cam footage, showcased the pig’s remarkable agility and left officers—and the internet—laughing.

Earlier this month, officers responded to calls about the errant swine trotting through a neighborhood. What ensued was nothing short of a comedy of errors as the porky fugitive dodged one capture attempt after another.

The pig darted through side streets, barreled across backyards, and even squeezed under fences, all while evading the grasp of determined officers.

“We have eyes on the pig,” one officer quipped during the chase. “It is now trespassing.” But the four-legged escape artist wasn’t about to go quietly. Described in the footage as “non-compliant,” the oinking outlaw turned the peaceful Tacoma neighborhood into the set of a slapstick comedy.

Eventually, the officers managed to corner Notorious P.I.G. in a side yard. After an intense (and probably snort-filled) standoff, they finally captured the swine and escorted him—yelping indignantly—into the back of a squad car.

The captured pig was unharmed and transported to The Rusty Bar Ranch, a Washington-based animal sanctuary.

There, he reunited with another rescue pig, and the pair—jokingly described as former members of the “S.W.I.N.E gang”—settled into their new life, reportedly agreeing to retire their troublemaking ways.

The Tacoma Police Department’s lighthearted approach to sharing the incident earned them applause from the community, with residents praising their humor and compassion.

As for Notorious P.I.G, the piggy has gained a newfound celebrity status, proving that even a rogue swine can hog the limelight.
