Scary Findings Discovered In Popular Nestle Cookie Dough!

Nestle USA, the world’s largest food and beverage company, has announced a voluntary recall of select batches of its Toll House chocolate chip cookie dough ‘break and bake’ products after receiving consumer complaints about the presence of wood chips. The company emphasized that no illnesses or injuries have been reported but initiated the recall as a precautionary measure.

The recall pertains specifically to two batches of Toll House “break and bake” bar products, manufactured on April 24 and 25 of this year. Consumers who have purchased chocolate chip cookie dough bars with batch codes 311457531K and 311557534K are advised not to consume the product and should instead return it to the point of purchase for a replacement or refund.

Nestle USA is actively cooperating with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) to address the issue. A Nestle spokesperson stated, “We are confident that this is an isolated issue and we have taken action to address it. The quality, safety, and integrity of our products remain our number one priority.”

Although the ingestion of wood fragments may not always pose significant health risks, sharper pieces of wood could potentially cause damage to internal organs within the digestive system, including the throat, tongue, and intestines.

This is not the first time Nestle has faced such an incident. In October of last year, the company issued a voluntary recall for its refrigerated ready-to-bake Nestle Toll House Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough with Fudge Filling due to concerns about the “potential presence of white plastic pieces.” Similarly, in 2019, Nestle had to recall 26 batches of its ready-to-bake Toll House Cookie Dough products due to the “potential presence of food-grade rubber pieces.”

The recall affects products that were distributed across the United States and Puerto Rico, although the exact number of states impacted remains unknown. Consumers seeking further assistance can contact Nestle USA’s customer support at (800) 681-1678, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 6 pm EST.

Nestle USA has expressed its sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused to both its customers and retail partners. The company’s commitment to product quality and safety remains unwavering as it continues to work diligently to rectify the situation in collaboration with regulatory authorities.
