Rod Stewart Performs In Florida

Rod Stewart is proving that age is just a number. At 80 years old, the legendary rocker took the stage at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida, reminding fans that he’s still every bit the showman he’s always been. Dressed in a dazzling gold blazer, pinstripe trousers, and matching gold trainers, he strutted, sang, and captivated the crowd during his “Last Time” tour, an aptly named farewell to large-scale touring.

With his signature white ruffled shirt slightly unbuttoned, Stewart belted out his classic hits, exuding the same charisma that made him a household name decades ago. And while the “Maggie May” singer is bidding farewell to massive global tours, he’s far from slowing down—2025 is shaping up to be one of his busiest years yet. Not only is he taking “Last Time” worldwide, but he’s also set to headline Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, a long-overdue moment for the British rock icon.

Offstage, Stewart’s wife, Penny Lancaster, made headlines of her own with a jaw-dropping revelation. During an appearance on “Loose Women”, the 53-year-old model and TV personality shared a bizarre story involving the late Mohamed Al-Fayed, the former Harrods owner.

According to Lancaster, Al-Fayed once offered her his sperm—yes, really—while she and Rod were trying for a baby. And if that wasn’t strange enough, he reportedly claimed he kept it “in the frozen food section at Harrods.” Penny laughed off the awkward encounter at the time, but in hindsight, the remark takes on a darker tone given the numerous allegations of sexual misconduct that surfaced against Al-Fayed before and after his death in 2023.

Penny also revealed that she’s put her foot down when it comes to one particular former friend: Donald Trump. The Stewarts used to rub elbows with Trump at lavish Palm Beach parties, but once he started campaigning for president again, Lancaster says she had enough.

“We used to go to parties hosted by him, it seemed fine,” she said. “But when he began to run for president, I started to hear those dangerous rhetorics… this is crossing all sorts of boundaries here.”

Though Stewart himself has had a long-standing acquaintance with Trump—having performed at his casinos and benefitted from his generosity on the golf course—he hasn’t been shy about his mixed feelings. Back in 2018, Stewart admitted Trump had always been kind to him but bluntly stated, “Is he a great president? Nah. I think his moral compass is way off.”

Despite the tabloid-worthy headlines surrounding his family, Stewart remains focused on what he does best: entertaining. As he takes his final large-scale tour around the world, fans are reminded why his career has spanned over six decades. Whether it’s on stage in a gold suit or making headlines off it, Rod Stewart is proving he’s not just a rock star—he’s an icon.
