2023 is off to an interesting start for Ava Phillippe! The 23-year-old daughter of Hollywood’s power couple, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe- rang in the new year in the ER after suffering “a pop” in her ankle.
The incident occurred when she tried to hop over a large puddle in heels, proving that even the most graceful among us can still have a misstep now and then!
Ava posted to her Instagram saying, “Starting the new year off with a bang…well, more like a *pop*…in my ankle. All because my clumsy self tried to hop over a (very large) rain puddle in heels. ????”

Fortunately for Ava, she had a superstar friend with her in the ER to keep her company. Jaden Sanders, who she described as her “ER buddy,” made sure Ava was in good spirits throughout her visit.
She continued in her post by saying, “I will definitely be adding “be gentler with my body” to my list of new year’s resolutions! Feel free to share what you’re looking forward to in the new year or any resolutions you may have in the comments. I would love to read them while keeping my ankle propped up in bed!” Ava’s resolution for the new year is a lesson we can all learn from!
Meanwhile, Reese Witherspoon is ringing in the new year with her own family of four. She shared a stunning beach snap featuring her husband Jim Toth and their 10-year-old son, Tennessee. “Let the sun shine in!” Witherspoon captioned it.
