Odd Aircraft Spotted Over Base

Something strange is in the skies over Nevada again, and this time, it’s not just a blurry photo or a shaky eyewitness account — it’s a full-blown sighting caught on video by a guy who spends his nights off the grid, scouring the desert near one of the most secretive military bases on Earth.

Anders Otteson, a desert explorer and YouTuber behind *Uncanny Expeditions*, was out near Area 51 in the pitch-black hours of January 14 when he spotted something cutting across the night sky. What he filmed wasn’t just another stealth bomber or a drone — at least, not one we’ve ever seen before. The object had a distinct “Dorito-shaped” profile, an equilateral triangle with no visible wings, a jagged rear edge, and a flight pattern that immediately raised eyebrows. Otteson compared it to the B-2 Spirit bomber he filmed earlier that same night, and while the B-2 has that familiar V-wing silhouette, this craft looked… different.

The big question? Is it a new classified aircraft, a test flight of something the military isn’t ready to talk about, or something else entirely? Otteson played it straight, admitting that the video resolution wasn’t perfect, and he couldn’t rule out the possibility of it being a military plane — but he also pointed out that it matched previous sightings of mysterious triangular aircraft seen over Kansas, Texas, and California. It wasn’t just the shape; the movement and lighting also lined up with other reported “black triangle” incidents, fueling speculation that the U.S. may be quietly flying something far more advanced than anything currently on the books.

Then things got weirder.

The next day, Otteson teamed up with UFO researcher Joerg Arnu, who revealed that unencrypted radio chatter during a B-2 flight included bizarre snack-themed code words like “Imperial with garlic,” “profile Michelob,” and “pretzel snack.” The radio traffic was so unusual that Arnu, who’s spent decades monitoring these frequencies, said he’d never heard anything like it.

Is this coded language for a secret test op? A joke between pilots? Or something more?

To top it all off, Nevada logged over 40 triangle-shaped UFO sightings in 2025 alone, according to the National UFO Reporting Center. And in April, a massive triangular tower spotted inside Area 51 only added fuel to the fire — standing nearly 200 feet tall, its purpose remains a mystery.

We’ve come a long way since the government officially acknowledged Area 51 in 2013. But the mystery of what’s actually going on inside its perimeter? That’s just getting started.

And if you believe in patterns — and triangles — this latest sighting might be more than just a glitch in the radar.
