A mother who went missing in Tennessee was found dead in the trunk of a car in Michigan, police say.
Eleni Kassa, 31, was reported missing on Friday, Nov. 18, when she didn’t pick her daughter up from school, according to the Murfreesboro Police Department in Tennessee.
As reported by Yahoo News,
“An investigation revealed she went missing following a “possible domestic violence incident” with her girlfriend, 36-year-old Dominique Hardwick, police said. Kassa’s phone and car were left at her apartment, and she was believed to be traveling with Hardwick in her black Dodge Charger.”
Officers in Dearborn, Michigan, located the vehicle on Sunday, Nov. 27, according to Michigan State Police. When Officers tried to pull over the vehicle, the driver fled and crashed into a home, police said.
As police pursued the driver, they heard a gunshot come from the vehicle. The driver was later determined to be Dominique Hardwick, who was pronounced dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.
The 36 year old female driver has one gunshot wound to the head and is pronounced dead at the scene. Officers located a 31 year old female in the trunk that appears to have trauma that was not a result from the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 6/

Kassa was found dead in the trunk of the car with injuries that were not a result of the crash, police said.
Kassa was described in a GoFundMe account set up by her sister as a “loving sister, niece, aunt, and mother of a wonderful 6-year-old daughter.”
As stated on the GoFundMe account, “Most of the family has flown to Tennessee to coordinate with Police and family on next steps, and raising the funds to fly her body back to Eritrea for funeral arrangements. Any support would be most gratefully appreciated, Thank you all so much for your kind support..”
