The Chrisley Knows Best star and daughter of Todd Chrisley, Lindsie Chrisley, has given an update on her father’s mental and physical state while he serves out a combined 19-year prison sentence for financial crimes.
Lindsie, 33, recently visited her dad in prison and gave her an update on PodcastOne’s The Southern Tea. Speaking on her dad’s physical state, she said, “My last visit with my dad, I couldn’t stop telling him how great that he looked,” Lindsie told prison consultant Justin Paperny, who was an advisor to Todd and his wife Julie. “He looks very very good. I told him, I said, ‘Even your hair looks better, a little bit longer and a little bit grayer.’ His nails aren’t completely bitten off.”
On his mental state, Lindsie says, “I know for sure that he is in such a better place”. She also remarks on his positive attitude and how he is “making the best of the process there with the people that are also there serving time with him”. Lindsie notes that her father has “made great friends” and is adapting well to prison life.
Justin Paperny, a prison consultant who advised Todd and his wife Julie before they reported to prison, gives his insight on the couple’s sentence. He says Todd “should be in better mood because reform has happened” and “more reform is coming” and also notes that he will “learn” from his fellow inmates while behind bars.
The couple reported to prison on January 17th, with Todd serving his sentence at Florida’s Federal Prison Camp Pensacola and Julie completing her seven-year sentence at Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. They are currently in the process of appealing their case.
Lindsie spoke to People in December, saying that her family has banded together during this tough time and that it has brought them closer together. She also expressed that she wished it would have been for other reasons than this.
