The photos — palm tree emoji and all — show Kim looking carefree, poolside, and seemingly unbothered, just days after sharing the disappointing news with her millions of followers.
But let’s be clear — she’s not calling it quits. “Well… I’m not a lawyer yet,” Kim wrote in her Instagram Story. “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar.” The message, full of determination and optimism, makes it obvious: this isn’t a retreat, it’s a reset. And if we’ve learned anything from Kim over the years, it’s that she doesn’t back down easily.
Kim’s pursuit of a legal career began in 2018 through California’s Law Office Study Program, an unconventional path that lets aspiring attorneys apprentice under seasoned lawyers instead of going to law school.
By 2021, she finally passed the state’s “baby bar” exam after three attempts, proving that resilience is just part of her brand. She completed the six-year program in May — a major milestone, even if the full bar exam is still a hurdle ahead.
Meanwhile, Kim’s also been flexing her legal alter ego on screen, portraying attorney Allura Grant in the Hulu series “All’s Fair.” So while she may not hold a law license (yet), she’s already playing the part — with designer suits to match.
