Jason Aldean Dedicates Hit Song To Trump

Jason Aldean stirred political controversy during his recent concert in Nashville on July 13 by dedicating his contentious hit “Try That in a Small Town” to former President Donald Trump.

The country singer, known for his strong support of Trump, addressed the audience, referencing a recent incident involving Trump in Pittsburgh.

Aldean expressed his admiration for the former president, saying, “President Trump’s a friend of mine so I want to send this next song out to him. We all know what’s going to happen come November, so it’s all good.”

In addition to the dedication, Aldean shared his support on Instagram, posting a photo of a bloodied Trump raising his fist in defiance and captioning it, “This is what a warrior looks like! This is MY guy.” He extended thoughts and prayers to Trump and his family, suggesting that God has a bigger plan for Trump.

Aldean’s actions align with his longstanding support for Trump, with both he and his wife, Brittany, frequently attending Trump events and promoting merchandise for Trump’s campaign.

The song “Try That in a Small Town” has sparked significant debate since its release, with critics claiming it promotes vigilantism and contains racial undertones.

Despite the controversy, the song achieved commercial success, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Digital Song Sales chart.

The song gained additional attention after CMT pulled its video due to allegations of it being pro-gun, pro-violence, and likened to a “modern lynching song.”

Aldean’s support for Trump is not unique in the music industry. Kid Rock also voiced his backing, posting a video declaring solidarity with Trump and sharing a GoFundMe page for the victims of the shooting incident, which has raised over $2 million.

The dedication of “Try That in a Small Town” to Trump during Aldean’s Nashville concert has continued to fuel the ongoing conversation about the intersection of music, politics, and social issues.
