We are deeply saddened to report the news that Annie Wersching, the beloved actress who starred in television dramas like “Bosch,” “Timeless” and “24,” has passed away at the age of 45.
According to Wersching’s rep, the actress passed away on Sunday after being diagnosed with cancer in 2020. Her husband Stephen Full shared a statement remembering his wife, saying, “There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall.”
He continued, “As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell BYE! until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye my Buddie. ‘I love you little family…'”
In addition to her television roles, Wersching is also known for her portrayal of the mother of Karolina, the superhero in Marvel’s “Runaways.” More recently, she voiced a character in the video game “The Last of Us,” which has been adapted into a television show by HBO. She also appeared as the Borg Queen in “Star Trek: Picard” season 2.
The actress is survived by her husband and their three sons: Freddie, 12, and Ozzie and Archie, 4. Fellow actress Ever Carradine launched a GoFundMe account to honor Wersching’s memory and to help provide support to her husband and their 3 sons.
“Everyone loved Annie. Everyone. But however much we loved her, she loved her boys more. Let’s help take care of them for her,” the website reads.
Carradine also stated on the website speaking of Wersching saying, “Annie was diagnosed with cancer Summer of 2020. She’s a private person by nature, and the diagnosis made her even more so. She wanted to protect her boys. She wanted to get better so she could continue working. And honestly, she just didn’t really want to talk about it. She wanted to live her life, on her terms, and be with her family.”
“Annie lived for her family. She loved her work and cherished her friends, but Steve and the boys were her absolute everything. This Go Fund Me is for them. It’s so Steve can have time to grieve without the pressure of needing to work. So he can be daddy to Freddie (12), Ozzie (9) and Archie (4) as they navigate the future without their mom, without sweet Annie,” she continued.
