Gal Gadot Reveals She Had Emergency Surgery While Pregnant

Gal Gadot, best known for her role as Wonder Woman, recently opened up about a harrowing health crisis she faced while eight months pregnant with her fourth child.

The 39-year-old actress shared an emotional social media post, recounting her experience with a massive blood clot on her brain and her journey to recovery.

In February, Gadot endured weeks of debilitating headaches before an MRI revealed the life-threatening condition. “In one moment, my family and I were faced with how fragile life can be,” she wrote. “It was a stark reminder of how quickly everything can change.”

Emergency surgery followed, with Gadot giving birth to her daughter, Ori, during a time of profound uncertainty and fear. Ori, whose name means “my light,” became a symbol of hope and strength for Gadot during this tumultuous chapter.

“Before the surgery, I told Jaron (her husband) that when our daughter arrived, she would be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel,” she said.

Gadot credited the dedicated medical team at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles for guiding her through weeks of intensive care.

Now fully healed, she expressed deep gratitude for her second chance at life. “Today, I am fully healed and filled with gratitude for the life I’ve been given back,” she shared.

This isn’t the first time Gadot has faced challenges while pregnant. In 2017, she filmed “Wonder Woman” while keeping her pregnancy under wraps, even hiding symptoms from the production team. Her resilience in the face of adversity has become a hallmark of her career and personal life.

Married to Yaron Varsano since 2008, Gadot is a proud mother to four daughters: Alma, Maya, Daniella, and Ori. Reflecting on motherhood, she once told “InStyle”, “Shooting a movie while being pregnant, or when you have a baby, is the most bad— thing I’ve done.” Her ability to balance her thriving career with family life continues to inspire fans around the world.

Through her latest ordeal, Gadot’s story is a testament to strength, hope, and the power of family, solidifying her role as a real-life Wonder Woman.
