It was supposed to be a relaxing brunch — a plate of salmon sliders, a camera rolling, and a couple of food influencers doing what they do best. But in the blink of an eye, a regular Saturday at Cuvee’s Culinary Creations in Houston turned into a scene straight out of an action movie.
Nina Santiago, known to her YouTube fans as NinaUnrated, and her partner Patrick Blackwood were mid-review when everything changed.
The footage they captured shows the two seated at their booth, fully immersed in their content — until an SUV suddenly came barreling through the front window.
One moment: salmon sliders. The next: shattered glass flying through the air, customers ducking for cover, and a wall of metal where a dining room used to be.
You can see the shock — not just from Santiago and Blackwood, but from stunned staff members frozen in disbelief. The crash was so fast, so jarring, that it barely felt real. But it was real enough to send both influencers straight to the emergency room, where they received stitches and shared their journey with followers — visibly shaken, but alive.
Santiago later wrote that the impact came just as she took a bite of her meal. “The glass came out of nowhere,” she said on Instagram, still trying to process the chaos. And in a sobering moment of reflection, she added: “This could’ve been our last meal.”
It turns out this was the second accident the couple had been involved in this month, and the weight of that isn’t lost on them.
Blackwood echoed the same gratitude: “Grateful to see another day.” And you can feel it — the near-miss shook them deeply, shifting their perspective in real time.
Imagine enjoying dinner and filming a review… then an SUV comes crashing through the window like a scene from a movie.
This is wild.

The restaurant, for its part, reposted the video with a simple message: “Thanking God everyone is safe.” And with good reason — if that SUV had hit just a few feet differently, this story could’ve ended much darker.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but the message from Santiago and Blackwood is clear: life can change in a heartbeat. So love hard. Let go of the petty stuff. And maybe — just maybe — eat the salmon slider while you can.
