Hey there, my fellow pop culture enthusiasts! Today, I’ve got some exciting news about one of the most iconic rock bands of all time – Aerosmith. The band recently announced that they will embark on a 40-date North American tour, which they call their farewell tour. This is your chance to catch Aerosmith Live one last time before they retire for good!
The band’s statement on the tour was filled with positivity and excitement. “It’s not goodbye, it’s PEACE OUT! Get ready and walk this way, you’re going to get the best show of our lives,” they said. The tour will also feature special guests, The Black Crowes, adding even more star power to the already impressive lineup.
PEACE OUT! After 50 years, 10 world tours, and playing for over 100 million fans… It’s time for one last go!

However, one downside to the news was that drummer Joey Kramer would not join the tour. The band released a statement saying, “While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health.” The statement went on to say that Joey’s “unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed.”
This news comes after a tumultuous period for the band and Joey Kramer. In 2020, Kramer sued the band for breach of contract, claiming he was blocked from performing after suffering “minor injuries” the prior spring. He sought an injunction after they made plans to play without him at the 2020 MusiCares Person of the Year and the Grammy Awards, but he lost that case.
Despite the absence of Kramer, the show must go on. The tour will kick off in Philadelphia on September 2 and make stops across the US and Canada, including New York’s Madison Square Garden, Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, and more, before wrapping up in Montreal on January 26. A special hometown show in Boston will also be on New Year’s Eve 2023.
This farewell tour will be an emotional and unforgettable experience for the band and their fans. Tickets for the general sale will be available on Friday at 10 a.m. local time on Ticketmaster.com. So, if you’re an Aerosmith fan, grab your tickets before they’re all gone!
