Antlers Ranch Hits The Market

The American West just got a little less legendary with the listing of Antlers Ranch, a sprawling Wyoming property nicknamed “Little Yellowstone.”

The ranch, owned by the May family for nearly 130 years, is up for sale at a staggering $85 million, and it’s stirring emotions among fans of Western heritage—and maybe a few fans of the hit TV show “Yellowstone”.

Located near Meeteetse, Wyoming, Antlers Ranch boasts 16,000 deeded acres and access to over 40,000 additional acres. That’s a lot of land for someone looking to step into the boots of a modern-day cattle baron.

But the May family’s decision to part ways with the ranch has left some nostalgic. Social media users lamented the sale, calling it the “real-life plot of Yellowstone.”

Like its fictional counterpart, Antlers Ranch is a slice of history wrapped in natural beauty. Nestled in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, it’s home to an astonishing 330 species, including elk, moose, eagles, and even gray wolves.

Anglers will be delighted to know the property is crisscrossed by rivers and creeks teeming with cutthroat trout.

Beyond its wild side, Antlers Ranch is a functioning operation with a range of income streams. It supports bison, hay production, minerals, gravel, and outdoor activities like hunting and fishing.

Prospective buyers will find plenty of infrastructure to keep things running, including a main house, two owner’s residences, ranch-style homes, and a bunkhouse. The main house, built in the 1930s, received a modern facelift 12 years ago but still exudes rustic charm.

The listing has sparked a flurry of interest, with broker Latham Jenkins of Live Water Properties noting that inquiries ramped up post-election.

While its 40,000-acre footprint pales in comparison to “Yellowstone’s” fictional Dutton Ranch, this real-life gem carries a legacy that’s hard to measure in acres alone. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for someone ready to carry the torch—or maybe start a saga of their own.
